Overview

About BSE-PEC

The Bharati Scheme for Education - Professional Education Course is a state scholarship for Brahmin students in Andhra Pradesh who are enrolled in a recognised professional degree programme. It is run by the Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation, a state government body that supports economically weaker members of the Brahmin community, and it is listed for application on the national myScheme portal.

The benefit is cash assistance for the academic year. Its stated purpose is to help students from financially weaker households continue their professional education instead of dropping out for want of funds. It sits under the wider Bharati banner of education schemes the Corporation runs, which together span schooling through post-graduation.

The scheme is aimed at Brahmin students whose parents live in Andhra Pradesh and who are studying a professional course at a recognised college. Support is means-tested, so a family income ceiling applies. The exact eligibility conditions, income limit and grant amount are set by the Corporation, so check its official notification before you apply, since a student who clears the community, residence and income tests may still not qualify on other counts.
