Bharati Scheme for Education - Post-Graduation(BSE-PG)
Overview
About BSE-PG
The Bharati Scheme for Education - Post-Graduation is a state scholarship for Brahmin students in Andhra Pradesh who continue into a postgraduate course after their degree. It is run by the Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation, a state government-owned body set up in December 2014 to give financial and academic support to Brahmin students from lower-income families.
The scheme covers postgraduate study of two years or more taken after graduation, such as an M.Sc, M.Com, M.A., M.Tech, M.D., M.Pharm or MBA. The benefit is a one-time cash payment credited to the student's bank account, meant to offset part of the cost of moving into a master's or equivalent programme. myScheme lists it as a cash benefit, not a fee waiver or a loan.
It is meant for individual students from the Brahmin community who are studying in Andhra Pradesh and whose family income falls below the ceiling the corporation sets. Applications are made online through the corporation. Confirm the current income limit, the eligible courses and the required documents on the official scheme listing before you apply, since these are fixed by the corporation.
