Overview

About BSE-G

The Bharati Scheme for Education – Graduation is a state scholarship for Brahmin students in Andhra Pradesh who are enrolled in a regular three-year undergraduate degree after 10+2. The benefit is one-time financial assistance, paid to the student to help meet the cost of an undergraduate education.

The scheme is run by the Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation, a state government-owned body set up in December 2014 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to support economically weaker members of the Brahmin community. The corporation runs the Bharati schemes across school, college and postgraduate stages, and this category covers students in their graduation years. It is also listed on the national myScheme portal, which is maintained by the Digital India Corporation under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

The purpose is to help students from lower-income Brahmin families in Andhra Pradesh stay in higher education by easing the cost of a graduation course. Support is aimed at the individual student. If you belong to the Brahmin community, are a resident of Andhra Pradesh, and are studying a recognised three-year degree while your family's income stays under the scheme's ceiling, you fall within the group it is written for.
