BC & EBC Girls Residential +2 High School(BCEBCGRHS)
Overview
About BCEBCGRHS
The BC & EBC Girls Residential +2 High School is a Bihar state scheme run by the Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Bihar. Under it, the department operates residential higher secondary schools where girls from Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class families can study Classes 11 and 12.
It is a composite scheme, so support goes beyond tuition. Girls who are admitted stay on campus and receive their schooling along with accommodation, study material and food. The intent is to let a student complete her intermediate education in one place without her family carrying the cost of boarding away from home.
The scheme is meant for girls of the BC and EBC categories in Bihar; students from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe backgrounds are covered by a separate residential programme. Admission is handled through the department's online portal, and the application requires the candidate's Class 10 (matriculation) marksheet.
