About ASCRNCAEAONIMA
The Award of Scholarship to the Children who are Recipients of National Child Award for Exceptional Achievements and Other National / International Merit Awards is a scholarship run by the Government of Puducherry. It offers a cash award to children in the Union Territory who have won the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievements, or another national or international merit award.
The scheme is meant to recognise these young award-holders. It acknowledges a distinction a student has already earned from an independent awarding body, and it is paid as a cash benefit.
The National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement, which this scholarship is built around, was instituted by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development in 1996. It recognises children who have shown sustained ability in areas such as academics, the arts, culture, design and sport. Puducherry's scheme carries that recognition into a state-funded scholarship for children in the Union Territory who hold the award or a comparable national or international honour.

What you get
Award & benefits
- ₹6,000/- per annum per student.
- The amount is disbursed directly into the Aadhaar-seeded viable bank account by Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) through the Electronic Clearance System (ECS).
