Bunkar Parivar Ke Pratibhavan Chatra-Chatraon Ko Protsahan Puraskar Yojana(BPKPCCKPPY)
Overview
About BPKPCCKPPY
The Bunkar Parivar Ke Pratibhavan Chatra-Chatraon Ko Protsahan Puraskar Yojana is a state award for talented students from weaver (bunkar) families in Chhattisgarh. It is run through the state's Department of Rural Industry (Gramodyog) and administered by the Chhattisgarh State Handloom Development and Marketing Co-operative Federation Limited in Raipur, the body that also organises the state's primary weaver cooperative societies.
The benefit is a cash award for students from weaver households who do well in their board examinations. The stated aim is to encourage the children of weaving families to carry on into higher education.
The award is meant for the sons and daughters of weavers connected to the federation's primary weaver cooperative societies who are resident in Chhattisgarh and have passed the qualifying board exam. Eligibility turns on a family's place in the handloom cooperative network as well as board results, so the exact marks and membership conditions are set by the federation and applied case by case.
