Overview

About ASTPSS

The AICTE Short Term Training Programme-SFURTI is a central scheme listed under the Ministry of Education. Under it, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) gives financial assistance to institutions so they can run short-term faculty and student training in the field of technical education. The support is financial assistance to the host institution, not a payment to an individual.

It is aimed at institutions rather than individual students. An AICTE-approved technical institution applies and receives the assistance to conduct the training, and the direct benefit reaches its faculty members and students through the programmes it funds. Exact grant amounts and application conditions are set by AICTE.
