Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department-Incentive/Award of Prizes(ADTWDIAP)

The Incentive/Award of Prizes scheme is run by the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu, which handles education and welfare schemes for the state's Adi Dravidar and tribal communities. It is a state scheme open to residents of Tamil Nadu, and it rewards students who secure the highest marks in the 10th and 12th standard public examinations. The prizes are given at the district level to one boy and one girl from each of the three eligible communities: Adi Dravidar, Scheduled Tribe (Tribal), and Adi Dravidar Converted to Christianity. Because the boy-and-girl split applies within each community rather than across them, up to six students in a district can be recognised each year.

The award is a cash incentive. At the 12th standard (10+2) level the prize is ₹3,000, and at the 10th standard level the first, second, and third prizes are ₹1,000, ₹500, and ₹300. Selection is on merit within the eligible communities: an applicant has to be the top scorer in the district and submit a community certificate, mark sheets, and bank details for the transfer. There is no age limit, and applications are made offline through the office of the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer.
