Akanksha Scheme(AKS)

myScheme carries no opening date and no closing date for this scheme (myScheme record for the Akanksha Scheme), and that absence is accurate rather than a gap in the record: the window is announced per cycle through the district tribal affairs offices and the portal, not fixed to a date in the calendar. For 2024-25, the Assistant Commissioner's notice set online applications to close on 15 April (Akanksha Yojana notice for 2024-25, Dhar district administration). Treat that as the pattern and not the date: a Class 10 student watching for this scheme should be checking the MPTAAS portal and the district office notice from the spring of their board year.

Akanksha is applied for a year before the coaching starts. The 2024-25 notice invited applications from Scheduled Tribe students then studying in Class 10, that is, from students who would be taking admission in Class 11 under the scheme that year (Akanksha Yojana notice for 2024-25, Dhar district administration). A student already in Class 11 or 12, or one who has left school, is looking at the wrong year of a scheme that only starts at the Class 10 to Class 11 join.

The money test applies to the household, not the student. Annual income of the parents, guardian or the student from all sources must not exceed Rs 6.00 lakh, and the Class 10 board result has to be 60 percent or above (Akanksha Yojana, Tribal Affairs Department, Madhya Pradesh; Akanksha Yojana notice for 2024-25, Dhar district administration). Both figures are the ones the department published; the binding version in any given year is the one printed in that cycle's notice, so read the district notice before assuming the ceiling has stayed put.

Two more conditions are administrative rather than academic, and they are the ones that quietly stop an application. The caste certificate has to be the digital certificate, and the bank account has to be linked to the Aadhaar number, both before the form is opened (Akanksha Yojana, Tribal Affairs Department, Madhya Pradesh). Registering a beneficiary profile on the MPTAAS portal comes before all of it; there is no route into the scheme that skips that registration.

Neither the department nor myScheme publishes an exclusion list for the Akanksha Scheme, so what rules a student out is the mirror image of the tests: a residence outside Madhya Pradesh, a category other than Scheduled Tribe, household income above the ceiling, a Class 10 result under the mark, a paper caste certificate where the digital one is required, or a bank account with no Aadhaar link.

One limit is built into the form rather than into a rule. A student picks a single course from the dropdown, JEE for engineering, CLAT for law, or AIIMS/NEET for medical, so an applicant hedging across engineering and medicine has to choose one before the entrance test, not after (Akanksha Yojana user manual, Tribal Affairs Department).

There is no renewal form and no second application. The department describes a two year block: the batch taken in for Class 11 continues to receive coaching in Class 12 the following year (Akanksha Yojana, Tribal Affairs Department, Madhya Pradesh), and the district notice puts the same thing as two years of free coaching running alongside school admission in Class 11 and 12 (Akanksha Yojana notice for 2024-25, Dhar district administration). The benefits field on myScheme is blank and the benefit type says only In Kind (myScheme record for the Akanksha Scheme), which is why the value of this scheme is so often understated. The department's page bundles three things together: the coaching, a residential facility, and the Class 11 and 12 schooling itself (Akanksha Yojana, Tribal Affairs Department, Madhya Pradesh). The district notice adds the material a selected student is handed: books and stationery, and a tablet with an internet and data plan, at no cost.

The document list on the myScheme record is the ordinary school-file set, and it is not where Akanksha applications come apart. The two papers that actually decide whether a form can be filed are the caste certificate, which has to be the digital one, and the bank account, which has to carry the Aadhaar link, and both belong to the profile registration stage rather than to the Akanksha form (Akanksha Yojana, Tribal Affairs Department, Madhya Pradesh).

The one thing a student must have in hand when the form opens is the Class 10 MP Board roll number. The form takes that number and fetches the result itself; the passing year and the date of birth come back from the MPBSE web service and from the profile, and are not typed in (Akanksha Yojana user manual, Tribal Affairs Department).

Applications run online on the MPTAAS portal, and the sequence is fixed. Register the beneficiary profile at tribal.mp.gov.in/MPTAAS, log in with the user ID and password that registration returns, open the Apply option, and accept the scheme rules on the consent screen before the Akanksha form appears. Enter the Class 10 roll number, pull the result, choose the course, then set the city preference: the manual's own example numbers Bhopal 01 as first preference and Indore 02 as second, with np against any city the student does not want (Akanksha Yojana user manual, Tribal Affairs Department).

Akanksha publishes no public status page, and there is no reference number to type into one. MPTAASC is built so that a registered beneficiary reads the status of a submitted application off their own dashboard (MPTAASC portal, Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, Madhya Pradesh), which makes the user ID created at profile registration the only handle on the file. There is no payment to follow alongside it: myScheme marks this benefit In Kind and does not carry the scheme as a direct benefit transfer (myScheme record for the Akanksha Scheme), so what a selected student is waiting on is a place in a coaching batch, not a credit in an account. When the portal itself is the problem, the department runs a helpline for exactly this: the tribal helpdesk on 1800-2333-951 and helpdesk.tribal@mp.gov.in, with a separate ticket route for district officers (MPTAASC portal, Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, Madhya Pradesh).

Selection is a test, and the coaching institutes set it. Each empanelled institute conducts a course-wise entrance examination, and admission follows the merit list of marks in that examination against the sanctioned seats (Akanksha Yojana, Tribal Affairs Department, Madhya Pradesh; Akanksha Yojana user manual, Tribal Affairs Department). The Class 10 percentage is an entry condition to sit that test, not the ranking that decides a seat.

The department wants the pool wide before it narrows. The scheme has no standalone terms document.
