Overview

About VCS(GBOCWWB)

The Vishist Coaching Scheme is run by the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker's Welfare Board (GBOCWWB), which sits under the Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department of the Government of Gujarat. It supports the children of registered construction workers who enrol in structured coaching for hard entrance and recruitment examinations.

The board pays or reimburses the registration fee and the coaching or tuition fees for the enrolled child, so the help reaches you as covered costs rather than a cash grant. The aim is to let these students prepare for a Chartered Accountancy qualification or for competitive recruitment tests, including those held by the Gujarat Public Service Commission, the Union Public Service Commission, the Gujarat Gaun Seva Selection Board and the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board.

Support is tied to registration with the board: the applicant is a construction worker enrolled with GBOCWWB, and the claim is made for that worker's child. Applications go through the state's Sanman portal, and the claim is expected within six months of the child's admission in an academic year.
