About VCS(GBOCWWB)
The Vishist Coaching Scheme reimburses or pays two fees, the registration fee and the coaching or tuition fee, when a registered construction worker's child studies Chartered Accountancy or prepares for a recruitment exam of one of four public bodies. The Gujarat Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board (GBOCWWB) runs it. The parent, not the student, files the claim on the Sanman portal, and the clock is short: six months from the child's admission, every academic year.
Vishist Coaching works from a closed list. The board's one-page scheme guideline states its purpose as helping construction workers' children study Chartered Accountancy and pass the competitive examinations of the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC), the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Gujarat Gaun Seva Selection Board (the subordinate services board) and the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board. Coaching aimed at any other exam sits outside that list, however similar the syllabus.
The scheme suits a family where the parent already holds a live e-Nirman card and the child has chosen one of those five tracks: a CA course, or preparation for a GPSC, UPSC, subordinate-services or panchayat recruitment. It covers fees only: it is not a stipend, a hostel grant or a monthly allowance.
No recent count of children helped is published. The only scheme-wise figures the board's website links are a decade old: an expenditure statement, printed in Gujarati, carries a row for Vishisht coaching classes with money spent and beneficiaries counted for 2015-2016 and for 2016-2017 up to May 2016, and nothing after that.

Who can apply
Eligibility criteria
Eligibility runs through the parent. The child qualifies only because a parent is a construction worker registered with this board, and the Sanman registration page asks a construction worker for an Aadhaar number and the e-Nirman card number, and fetches the worker's details from that card before the account is created. The same page offers a separate user type for factory and establishment workers, keyed to a labour welfare fund account number, and that route does not stand in for construction-board registration.
Registration itself carries no income test for manual workers. The board's FAQ page says so in Gujarati: "શારિરીક શ્રમ કરતા શ્રમયોગીઓને નોંધણી માટે આવક મર્યાદા નથી" (there is no income limit for registering workers who do manual labour). An income test does exist on this board, for another scheme: a Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department resolution approved in October 2024, posted on the board's website, adds one to Shikshan Sahay, the board's education-assistance scheme, and the Vishist Coaching guideline names no income ceiling of its own.
On the child's side, the guideline sets no age, marks or class condition. The test is the course the child is enrolled in.

Who cannot apply
Exclusions
The myScheme record publishes no exclusion list, but the guideline's own wording shuts out four kinds of claim in practice:
- Coaching for exams run by bodies outside the named four, such as NEET, JEE, bank recruitment, railway recruitment or Staff Selection Commission exams.
- Professional courses other than Chartered Accountancy: Company Secretary or cost-accountancy coaching does not appear in the text.
- A claim filed more than six months after the child's admission in that academic year.
- A claim from a parent whose e-Nirman registration lapsed at its three-year renewal.

Renewal conditions
Nothing carries forward from one year to the next. The guideline asks for an application within six months of taking admission "in each academic year", so a two-year CA or civil-services preparation means two separate claims, each resting on that year's admission and fee receipt. The guideline sets no limit on the number of years a family may claim.
The parent's registration has to stay alive for every one of those claims. The board's FAQ says that when the three-year term after the registration date ends, "૯૦ દિવસનું કામનું પ્રમાણપત્ર આપવું ફરજીયાત છે" (a certificate of ninety days' work is compulsory), and that the card must be renewed "જેથી યોજનાનો લાભ મળી શકે" (so that scheme benefits can be received). Check the registration date printed on the card before the coaching year starts, not after the fee is paid.

The scheme covers the registration fee and the coaching or tuition fee, which the guideline says will be "reimbursed/paid". Its rules fix the fees and the courses and leave the money questions open:

When we checked in September 2026, no maximum appeared in the guideline, in the scheme description on Sanman, or on the myScheme record, so before paying for an expensive programme, ask the board's district office whether any ceiling applies. The guideline also does not say whose registration fee it means; a CA course registration and a coaching class's enrolment charge would both fit the words.
The claim is built around money already spent: the document list asks for the original fee receipt and the first page of a bank passbook, and Sanman registers the worker under the name as it appears in that passbook. The guideline does not say whether the board can pay a coaching institute directly.
- Under the scheme, the registration fee and coaching/tuition fees for the children of registered construction workers will be reimbursed/paid.
What to prepare
Documents required
The myScheme list mixes two sets of papers. The employer certificate, self-declaration and proof of age are what the board's FAQ asks for when a worker registers; the guideline asks for seven papers at claim time, from the original fee receipt to the child's Aadhaar and a bonafide certificate.
The affidavit is not a free-form one. The Gujarati scheme description on Sanman asks for "નમુના મુજબનું સોગંદનામું", an affidavit in the specimen format. The Vishist Coaching row of Sanman's construction-board scheme table carries no downloadable form or attachment, unlike the Shikshan Sahay row at the top of that table, so ask the board's district office for the specimen before swearing it.
Step by step
How to apply
A Vishist Coaching claim passes through two state portals, in this order:
- The worker registers, or renews, on the e-Nirman portal, which issues the e-Nirman card.
- The worker creates a Sanman account as a construction worker on the registration page, entering the Aadhaar number and the e-Nirman card number and pressing Fetch, which fills in the name and birth date from the card.
- After logging in, the worker picks "વિશિષ્ટ કોચિગ યોજના" (the portal spells it this way) from the construction-board scheme list, uploads the claim papers and submits.
The "working method" line of the guideline names only this online route through Sanman.
Tracking a Vishist Coaching Claim on Sanman
Keep two application numbers apart. On submission, Sanman sends a confirmation email carrying the scheme application number to the registered email ID, as the myScheme record describes. That number, with a birth date, is what Sanman's Application Status page asks for. The same record files the e-Nirman portal's View Citizen Application Status page under the e-Nirman card application instead, so that is where the parent's registration is followed, against the number e-Nirman issued for it.

Selection process
The guideline describes no merit ranking, quota or fixed number of awards; the published test is eligibility plus the listed documents, filed in the prescribed format within the time limit.

The guideline's terms are two: the registered worker applies in the prescribed format and within the prescribed time, and the application is made within six months of admission in each academic year. The board does not publish a route for a late claim, so treat the six-month line as the end of that year's claim.
