About ASPFTS12PS
This is a Gujarat state scheme for Scheduled Caste students who have passed the Class 12 examination. The state Education Department issues the tablet against a token fee of Rs. 1,000, and this scheme provides Rs. 1,000 in assistance that reimburses that fee for Scheduled Caste students. That reimbursement is why it is described as a free tablet.
It is run by the Director of Scheduled Caste Welfare, part of the Government of Gujarat's Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. The tablets are issued through the state Education Department, and eligible students apply online on the Digital Gujarat portal.
The purpose is to give Scheduled Caste students a computing device as they move from school into further study, when much of their coursework and study material has moved online. The benefit is confined to students in this category who have passed Class 12.

What you get
Award & benefits
- Under the scheme, students in the 12th standard belonging to the Scheduled Caste category will receive a tablet by paying a token fee of ₹1,000/-.
