Uniform Assistance for Other Backward Classes (Minority) Students Studying in Standard 1st to 8th(UAOBCMOE)
Overview
About UAOBCMOE
Uniform Assistance for Other Backward Classes (Minority) Students Studying in Standard 1st to 8th is a state education-welfare scheme run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. It sits with the Director of Developing Castes Welfare as a single uniform grant whose eligibility covers minority students together with the state's SEBC, EBC and nomadic and de-notified categories.
The benefit is a cash grant towards the cost of a school uniform for children in the primary and upper-primary years. Families receive the money directly and buy the uniform themselves.
It is meant for students from minority communities counted among Gujarat's backward classes who are enrolled in Standards 1 to 8. The scheme carries no income test, so eligibility depends only on the child's class and community.
