Overview

About TSYUC

Tuition Sahay Yojana (Unreserved Category) is a Gujarat state scholarship for unreserved-category students who are studying science in Class 11 and Class 12. It is run by the Gujarat Unreserved Educational and Economic Development Corporation (GUEEDC), which works under the state's Social Justice and Empowerment Department.

The scheme pays a cash grant of ₹15,000 per academic year, sent straight to the student's bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer. It helps meet the cost of private tuition for science study at the higher secondary stage. The aim is to keep that expense from forcing out unreserved-category students whose families have limited means but do not qualify for reserved-category support.

It is meant for unreserved-category students in Gujarat who have moved into the science stream after Class 10 and whose household income stays within the limit GUEEDC sets. Applications are made online through the state's e-Samaj Kalyan portal, after which a signed hard copy with supporting documents goes to the district office. The exact marks threshold, income ceiling and document list are set out in the scheme's eligibility details, so check those before you apply.
