Overview

About SVPMSS

The Swami Vivekananda Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme is a state programme of Madhya Pradesh, run by the School Education Department through its Directorate of Public Instruction. It pays an annual cash scholarship to students in Class 11 and Class 12 at government schools in the state.

The scheme is meant for students from lower-income households, specifically families in the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, so that money does not end a child's schooling after Class 10. Whether a student qualifies also depends on how they did in the previous class, and the award is set separately for boys and girls.

The money is paid straight into the student's bank account. You do not apply on your own; your government school files a single application and lists eligible students on the state's online Shiksha Portal.
