About SPR
Super 5000 is a merit scholarship run by the Madhya Pradesh Labour Department through the state's Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. It rewards children of registered construction workers who perform well in the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
The scheme pays a one-time cash award to the top-scoring students within that group, capped at a fixed number of beneficiaries. Its stated aim is to help the children of unorganised-sector construction workers continue their education and to give those families a measure of social security.
Eligibility runs through a parent's registration rather than the student alone: the applicant must be the son or daughter of a construction worker registered with the welfare board and a resident of Madhya Pradesh. The district labour offices that administer it treat the district labour officer as the sanctioning authority, and applications are routed through that office or the student's school.

| Only students who have passed the 10th/12th board examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education in a government school and included in the top 5000 children in the merit of the entire state. | |

| The age of the construction worker should be more than 18 years and less than 60 years. |
