Overview

About SEBIITDIP

The SEBI ITD Internship Program is run by the Information Technology Department of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). SEBI is the statutory regulator of the country's securities market, set up under the SEBI Act, 1992, and it works under the Ministry of Finance. The program offers hands-on training to students at institutes based in and around Mumbai and accepts up to 15 interns.

Interns are placed on the department's live technology work rather than a fixed syllabus. Assignments cover areas such as data analytics, regulatory business processes and reporting, and financial technology, with postings at SEBI's head office in the Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The idea is to give students practical exposure to how a market regulator builds and runs its IT systems.

This is a composite scheme, pairing supervised project work with a monthly stipend for the students who are selected. Places are limited to the intake cap, so it is aimed at Mumbai-area students who can commit to a fixed internship term. Eligibility, stipend and duration terms are set by SEBI for each round.
