Overview

About SCESVTE

The Scholarship for Children of Ex-Servicemen for Vocational and Technical Education is a Rajasthan state scheme run by the Department of Sainik Welfare. It gives an annual cash scholarship to children of ex-servicemen who are enrolled in vocational and technical courses, helping the family meet the cost of that study.

Welfare for ex-servicemen in India is organised in three tiers: the Kendriya Sainik Board under the Ministry of Defence at the centre, Rajya Sainik Boards at the state level, and Zila Sainik Boards in the districts. In Rajasthan the Department of Sainik Welfare carries out this work, processing applications and passing benefits to former service personnel and their dependents.

The scholarship is meant for children of ex-servicemen from the junior ranks, up to Havildar. It is designed for households that have not already drawn support under the Kendriya Sainik Board's Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme or a similar scholarship, so the money reaches families the central scheme does not cover. If you think you qualify, check the full eligibility rules and amount before you apply.
