About TUK-FASBC
The Transgender Utthan Kosh is Rajasthan's dedicated welfare fund for transgender persons, run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Rajasthan. This component of the fund supports transgender students who have to live away from home to continue their schooling, and pays a monthly cash allowance towards accommodation and day-to-day living costs while they study.
The fund brings together several forms of support for the community – education and scholarships, health assistance, skills training and other welfare measures – with the stated aim of helping transgender people stay in education and become self-reliant. This particular benefit sits on the education side, and is meant to take the housing and living cost out of the decision to study when the nearest suitable school or college is far from a student's home.
It is open to transgender students in Rajasthan from Class 6 and above who live away from home for that education, provided the family's gross annual income is within ₹8 lakh. The support is a cash benefit of ₹6,000 a month, paid for up to twelve months and credited directly to the student's bank account to help cover board and daily needs.

What you get
Award & benefits
- Financial assistance of ₹6,000/- per month for up to 12 months to support transgender students living away from their homes for education.
- NOTE: Assistance is provided directly to the student's bank account.
- Students must submit a rental receipt each month to continue receiving assistance.
