Scheme For Study In Abroad(SFSA)
Overview
About SFSA
The Scheme for Study in Abroad is a Rajasthan state government programme that helps meritorious girl students from the state pursue graduate-level education overseas. It is run by the Education (Elementary and Secondary) Department, and the Rajasthan Government introduced it in 2010-11 to encourage girl child education.
The scheme is aimed at a small, high-achieving group: girls who rank at the top of the Class 10 examinations of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education while studying in a government school. For them it opens a route to a four-year undergraduate course abroad that a family's own resources might not otherwise reach.
Support under the scheme is composite rather than a single cash grant. It pairs financial help toward the cost of studying abroad with related assistance, so that admission, travel and living arrangements are addressed alongside course fees for the duration of the programme.
