Rajya/Mukhyamantri Swarn/Rajat Padak Protsahan Puraskar(RMSRPPP)
Overview
About RMSRPPP
The Rajya/Mukhyamantri Swarn/Rajat Padak Protsahan Puraskar is a cash award run by the Department of Education in Uttarakhand for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from the state. The NCC is a tri-services youth organisation under the Union Ministry of Defence, and its Uttarakhand directorate oversees cadet training within the state. This award is the state's contribution alongside that structure, a cash incentive for cadets who reach the top of the corps' national camp competitions.
The recognition is tied to medals won at the NCC's national camps, including the Republic Day Camp (RDC) and the camps for the corps' other wings, named in the scheme as TSC, VSC and NSC. The Republic Day Camp is held each January at the Garrison Parade Ground in Delhi Cantonment, where selected cadets from across the country compete in drill, cultural and service events judged among the NCC directorates. A cadet who wins a gold medal receives a higher cash grant than one who wins silver, and the award covers performance in the current year's camps.
The award is meant for individual NCC cadets from Uttarakhand who win these medals. It recognises camp performance rather than acting as a needs-based scholarship, so it does not turn on academic marks or family income.
