Overview

About PMSSOBCD

The Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students in Delhi is a cash scholarship run by the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It supports Other Backward Class students in the city's schools through their pre-matric years, up to Class 10.

The award is meant to help school-going children from lower-income OBC families stay in education by easing the routine costs of schooling. It is paid as a monthly cash amount rather than as a fee waiver or in-kind support, and is aimed at students from families of limited means whose annual income falls below the ceiling the department sets.

The department administers this as a Delhi state scheme, with applications made through the Delhi e-District portal (edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in). Those who qualify are OBC students studying in the city's schools who meet the income ceiling and the academic and attendance conditions the department sets for each year's cycle.
