NDRI Institute Scholarship For M.Sc. And Ph.d(NDRIIS)
Overview
About NDRIIS
The NDRI Institute Scholarship supports Indian students admitted to the M.Sc. (Dairying) and Ph.D. (Dairying) programmes at the ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) in Karnal, Haryana. It is a central scheme run under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE). DARE sits within the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and oversees the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), whose network of institutes includes NDRI.
The benefit is a cash scholarship paid every month through the prescribed period of study, and it helps enrolled students cover their living costs while they finish a research degree in dairy science. Master's students receive ₹7,560 a month, while Ph.D. students receive ₹25,000 a month for the first two years and ₹28,000 in the third year, along with an annual contingency grant in each case.
NDRI holds deemed-to-be-university status and awards its own master's and doctoral degrees in dairying, so this is an institute award for its own enrolled students. Support runs for the prescribed duration of the programme with no extension beyond it, and it is offered only to students who are not already drawing another scholarship or financial assistance.
