National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) Internship Programme(NACOIP)
Overview
About NACOIP
The National AIDS Control Organisation, or NACO, is the central body responsible for India's response to HIV and AIDS. It was set up in 1992 and works under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. NACO runs its Internship Programme to bring young students into that work for a short period.
The programme is built around exposure rather than a job. It gives students a way to understand how the National AIDS Control Programme is shaped and carried out, from the policy decisions taken at the centre to the way those decisions are implemented.
This is a central-level scheme, open to individual students. The support on offer is classified as composite. Read the eligibility conditions and application steps on the official listing before applying, since those terms decide who can take part.
