About MPPCY
The Medhavi Putra/Putri Chhatravritti Yojana is a scholarship run by the Department of Labour, Employment, Training and Skill Development, Government of Jharkhand. It is fully funded by the state, and only residents of Jharkhand can apply.
The scheme is meant for the children of construction workers registered with the Jharkhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Support comes as a cash scholarship, and the amount is set by the stage of study, from school classes through to undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses such as engineering and medicine.
If you are the child of a registered building or other construction worker and you study at a recognised institution in the state, this benefit helps cover the cost of continuing your education. Eligibility turns on your parent's registration with the welfare board, your Jharkhand domicile and your marks in the previous examination, and a registered worker can claim it for only a limited number of children.

Eligibility criteria
| The applicant should be a domicile in the state of Jharkhand. | |
| The applicant should be a Student. | |
| The applicant should have passed the previous examination with atleast Second Division or 45% marks in any examination (except Class 1st to 5th) OR have got admitted/enrolled in the course on the basis of a competitive examination. | |
| The applicant should be the child of a Worker registered with the 'Jharkhand Building and Other Construction Worker Welfare Board (JBOCWW Board)'. | |
| The scholarship can be availed by upto two children of the Registered Worker. |
