Labour Skill Training Scheme (MPBOCWWB)(LSTSMPBOCWWB)
Overview
About LSTSMPBOCWWB
The Labour Skill Training Scheme is a skill-development programme of the Madhya Pradesh Labour Department, delivered through the state's Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. It began on 1 August 2018. The welfare board is the body the state government uses to support workers in the construction trades.
The scheme's purpose is to raise the skills and employability of construction workers and their dependents. Training is provided free of cost, so the help comes in kind rather than as a cash transfer.
It is open to construction workers whose registration with the board is active, and to their dependents, resident in Madhya Pradesh. Eligibility also turns on age: the worker must be between 18 and 45, and a dependent between 16 and 45.
