Overview

About ITGSESECIA

The INAE Travel Grant Scheme is a central government scholarship run by the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), the country's apex engineering academy. INAE is an autonomous body set up in 1987 and functions with support from the Department of Science and Technology. Under this scheme it gives financial support to engineering students who have a research paper accepted for presentation at an international scientific event.

The grant helps meet the cost of taking part in international conferences, seminars, symposiums and workshops. It covers partial travel assistance and registration fees. The stated aim is to encourage students to engage in research and to improve the quality of engineering education in the country.

This particular scheme is meant for students at the IITs, the NITs and government-approved engineering colleges and institutions that are not AICTE-approved. Students enrolled at AICTE-approved colleges apply instead to the parallel AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme. It is open to candidates at the Bachelor's and Master's levels, subject to the academic and application conditions INAE sets out.
