About GSDAT
The Grant of Stipend to Differently Abled Trainees is a welfare scheme run in the Union Territory of Puducherry by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Puducherry. It is one of several programmes the department maintains for persons with disabilities.
Under the scheme, a differently abled person who is undergoing training receives a cash stipend from the department. The purpose is to ease the cost of the training so that a trainee can stay enrolled and complete the course.
It is aimed at residents of Puducherry who have a disability and are pursuing such training. Support is paid to the trainee over the course of the training, with the stipend amount and the conditions that apply set by the department.

Eligibility criteria
| The applicant should have undertaken a full-time vocational training course in any recognized vocational training centre, workshop, ITI, or any other institution sanctioned by the Central/State Government, local body, or voluntary organization. | |
| The applicant's age should be 5 years and above. | |
| The applicant should be differently abled. |
