Digital J&K Internship Scheme(DJKIS)
Overview
About DJKIS
The Digital J&K Internship Scheme places students and young graduates inside the Jammu and Kashmir administration so they can build first-hand work experience. It is part of the Union Territory's wider Digital J&K effort to draw young talent into e-governance and IT-led administrative work.
The programme is run by the Information Technology Department of the Jammu and Kashmir government. Interns are attached to government departments and projects, where they take on real assignments in areas such as digital administration and data work.
Its stated aim is to give you hands-on experience, testing what you studied against actual government work. The scheme offers two things: a fixed monthly stipend for the internship period, and a Government of Jammu and Kashmir certificate on completion.
The scheme is meant for young people domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir, including current students and recent graduates. Domicile, age and academic background decide who can apply.
