There is no annual date to diary here. Each intake opens on its own notice, and the notice standing on the portal covers Class 6 admission for the 2026-27 session (Shala Darpan VPMS admission notice). Inside that cycle, the scheme rules fixed the pre-admission test for Sunday, 15.03.2026 (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan). Nothing had been posted for the intake after it as of early September 2026, which makes the VPMS homepage the page to watch rather than a date circulating elsewhere.

The record's own list covers residence, community, marks and the taxpayer test. What it leaves out, and the portal's scheme rules add, is a family-level cap: at most two children of the same parents can take admission and benefits under the scheme, and the parents must file a declaration to that effect with the District Education Officer (Headquarters), Secondary, of the allotted district after final selection (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan).

Two conditions are easy to read past. The domicile and caste certificates have to stand in the student's own name rather than a parent's, and the child must have been studying in or have passed Class 5 in 2025-26 at a government or recognised non-government school (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan). The myScheme record puts a marks bar on top of that pass, a minimum percentage in the Class 5 result, which the portal's own admission rules do not restate (myScheme record for Devnarayan Gurukul Yojana).

The income rule has no rupee figure in it at all. What the department tests is status rather than an amount: the parents must not be income-tax payers, and an income certificate is what proves it (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan).

The source publishes no exclusion list. Three things nonetheless end an attempt under the scheme rules: parents who pay income tax, a child beyond the two-per-family cap, and, at the test centre, the absence of the printed admit card with a photograph pasted on it and an Aadhaar card, which costs the candidate the exam itself (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan).

Neither the myScheme record nor the portal notice publishes a year-by-year renewal procedure for a child already inside a Gurukul school. The record's official FAQ ties continuation to meeting academic performance requirements and stops there (myScheme record for Devnarayan Gurukul Yojana).

Everything the scheme gives is in kind and reaches the child through the school the department allots rather than through an account. The record carries no DBT component, which is why there is no instalment calendar to chase (myScheme record for Devnarayan Gurukul Yojana).

The scale of the offer is therefore measured in seats, not rupees. The notice splits the Devnarayan Gurukul Yojana pool into 300 seats for boys and 200 for girls, and the two sibling schemes sharing the test carry pools of the same total size (Shala Darpan VPMS admission notice):

What the record lists is the usual set of certificates; the portal's rules settle when each copy actually changes hands. No certified copy has to be attached or uploaded with the online form. Certified photocopies come into play after final selection, when one set goes to the District Education Officer's office and one to the allotted school, and the originals are produced for verification at the DEO (Headquarters), Secondary, of the allotted district before the child takes admission (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan).

Two documents have prescribed formats the record never mentions: the parents' income certificate on the notice's Appendix 1 (Parishisht-1) and the two-child self-declaration on Appendix 2 (Parishisht-2). A Class 5 online transfer certificate anchors the admission, and a student coming from a school outside Rajasthan can present a TC countersigned by the competent authority of the district where that school sits (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan).

The myScheme record gives the application mode as offline, through the District Education Officer. The cycle the portal documents runs the other way: the form for the Class 6 pre-admission test is filled online on the Shala Darpan VPMS portal, and nothing is charged for applying at any stage (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan; myScheme record for Devnarayan Gurukul Yojana).

With no payment in the scheme there is no payment status to watch, and three portal pages carry everything a family can actually check. A submitted form is pulled back up on the portal's application-download page by searching the Student NIC ID, after choosing whether the child's previous school was a government school, a private school or a school outside Rajasthan (VPMS application download, Shala Darpan). The admit card comes off the portal's admit card page against the student's application id, registered mobile number and date of birth, and the candidate pastes a recent photograph in the space on it before exam day (VPMS admit card, Shala Darpan). Selection is a written merit test pitched at the Class 5 departmental syllabus. The paper carries 100 marks across Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science, Science and English, each weighted at 20, answered on an OMR sheet in 2 hours, with the paper printed in Hindi and English script only (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan).

The District Education Officer (Headquarters), Secondary, conducts the test at government schools or colleges at the district headquarters, and only government-school teachers serve as invigilators (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan). Candidates who clear it are admitted strictly in merit order to the department-selected schools, and document verification at the DEO's office is the final gate before the seat is taken.

The conditions that bind take effect after the result, not before it. Admission is given only in the schools the department has selected and in no other school under any circumstances; the two-child declaration has to reach the District Education Officer (Headquarters), Secondary, of the allotted district once the school allotment is out; and the certified photocopy sets and the check of original documents at that office both come before the child can join (VPMS scheme rules, Shala Darpan).

The office that answers admission-test questions is not the scheme's parent department but the exam conductor: the Directorate of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, at Bikaner, whose name the portal's application pages carry (VPMS application download, Shala Darpan).
