Overview

About Cec

Competitive Exam Coaching is a state scheme of the Tribal Area Development Department, Government of Rajasthan. It provides free coaching to Scheduled Tribe students who are preparing for competitive examinations, and was launched in 2016-17.

The benefit is in kind rather than a cash payment. Coaching is delivered through the Manikya Lal Verma Tribal Research and Training Institute in Udaipur and the offices of the Scheduled Area Project Officers, so that students from tribal families can prepare for recruitment and entrance exams without paying coaching fees.

The scheme is meant for ST-category students, both women and men, from the state's tribal-area districts, and a student can use it once. Applications are made through the institute in Udaipur or the local Scheduled Area Project Officer's office.
