Overview

About CAESTSS

The Cash Amount for Encouraging Scheduled Tribe Sportsperson Students is a state award run by the Tribal Area Development Department of the Government of Rajasthan, launched in 1996. It goes to Scheduled Tribe students who are residents of a Scheduled Tribe area of Rajasthan and who have finished in the top three at a national or international sports event.

The benefit is composite rather than a single cash payout: a cash prize, a certificate of appreciation, and a memento. Applications are made offline, through the Tribal Area Development Department office in Tribal Sub-Plan districts or the Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer in non-TSP areas, and there is no application fee. Once cleared, the department is expected to deliver the award within 365 days.
