Viksit Delhi CM Internship Programme(VDCMIP)
Overview
About VDCMIP
The Viksit Delhi CM Internship Programme is a state-run internship of the Government of Delhi, managed by its Administrative Reforms Department. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched it in 2025. It places students from Delhi inside government departments for a short, paid internship, where they work alongside officials on live administrative and policy tasks.
The intent is to bring students in graduation and post-graduation into the government's policy and decision-making work. Interns move through set phases: training in how Delhi's governance runs, fieldwork to spot local problems, and department-level work that feeds into policy inputs. The scheme pays a stipend over the course of the internship.
It is open to young people from Delhi who are enrolled in a graduation or post-graduation course. Candidates apply and are shortlisted through a written round and a boot camp before they are placed with a department. The exact eligibility conditions and the application window sit on the scheme's official listing.
