Overview

About VS-CAMCD

The Vijayamritham Scheme is a cash award for meritorious children with disabilities, run by the Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala. It recognises differently-abled students who have scored well in degree, post-graduate and professional courses, giving them a one-time cash reward along with a certificate and memento.

The department describes its aim as mainstreaming children with disabilities and making them aware of their fundamental rights. The benefit is financial recognition rather than an ongoing stipend, so it is a single payment made to selected students after they finish their course.

The scheme is for differently-abled students in Kerala who have passed their qualifying course on the first attempt at a university or institution within the state. Where marks are equal, selection favours applicants with a higher degree of disability. Applications are made online, with supporting documents such as a course completion certificate, mark list, medical board certificate and bank details.
