Overview

About APJKRL

The APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship is a Kerala state scholarship for students from minority communities who are pursuing a polytechnic diploma. It is administered by the Directorate of Minority Welfare, the state agency that runs welfare and education schemes for Kerala's notified minority groups.

The benefit is a cash scholarship that helps eligible students meet the cost of a three-year diploma at a government, government-aided or approved self-financing polytechnic in Kerala.

It is meant for students who belong to one of Kerala's recognised minority communities and who study within the state. Preference goes to applicants from Below Poverty Line families, while minority students whose annual family income is up to Rs 8 lakh are also considered.
