Mother Teresa Scholarship(MTSKRL)
Overview
About MTSKRL
The Mother Teresa Scholarship supports students from minority communities in Kerala who are studying for diplomas in nursing and paramedical courses. It is run by the Directorate of Minority Welfare, the nodal agency under Kerala's Department of Minority Welfare that implements central and state schemes for the state's minority communities.
The scheme provides an annual cash award to help these students meet the cost of their studies. It is open to applicants domiciled in Kerala who belong to the communities notified as minorities in the state – Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi – and who hold a merit seat in a nursing or paramedical diploma programme at a government, government-aided or approved institution.
Half of the awards are reserved for women. Applications are made online each cycle through the Directorate's scholarship portal.
