Haryana Post Matric Scholarship For Minority(HPMS)
Overview
About HPMS
The Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities is a state scholarship administered by the Directorate of Social Justice and Empowerment, Haryana. It is for students from minority communities who have cleared matriculation and are carrying on with their studies, from class XI right up to a PhD. Both government institutions and recognised private schools, colleges and institutes qualify, technical and vocational courses included.
Its stated purpose is to award scholarships to meritorious students from the economically weaker sections of the minority community so they have better opportunities for higher education. It is run by Haryana as a state scheme for minority students at the post-matric levels.
The help arrives as cash, combining reimbursement of course fees with a maintenance allowance, so the award can go towards both tuition and living costs during a course. It is aimed at individual students from low-income minority households studying within Haryana.
