Financial Assistance for Education- Haryana Silicosis Board(FAE-HSB)
Overview
About FAE-HSB
Financial Assistance for Education is a welfare scheme run by the Labour Department, Government of Haryana, for the children of workers diagnosed with silicosis. It sits within the set of benefits administered through the Haryana Silicosis Board.
The scheme pays an annual education grant so that a silicosis-affected worker's children can continue schooling and higher studies. The amount is a cash benefit that scales with the stage of study, from primary classes up to a diploma, graduation or postgraduate course.
Eligibility runs through the worker: the parent must be confirmed to have silicosis by the Silicosis Diagnosis Board, Haryana, and registered with the Haryana Silicosis Board. The grant then covers the worker's children.
Applications are handled by the Labour Department. A worker can collect the form from the nearest Labour Office or download it from the department's portal, hrylabour.gov.in, which also carries the silicosis beneficiary registration.
