Overview

About AIS-SC

The Ambedkar International Scholarship - SC is a Rajasthan government scholarship that helps Scheduled Caste students pursue a doctorate abroad. It is run by the state's Social Justice and Empowerment Department and implemented through the Rajasthan Residential Educational Institutions Society (RAJEDU), with applications handled by the Ambedkar Peeth at Jaipur.

The scheme is built around Ph.D. study in the humanities and social sciences at a foreign university. The disciplines named under it include sociology, law, economics, political science and public administration. Its benefit is cash, released in instalments across the years of the doctoral programme rather than as a single lump sum.

It is meant for SC students who are permanent residents of Rajasthan and have finished a postgraduate degree before securing admission to a recognised foreign university. Age, minimum-marks and family-income conditions also apply, so confirm the current thresholds and deadlines with the department before you apply.
