About IIRPS
The AICTE-ISTE Induction/Refresher Programme Scheme is a faculty-training grant run jointly by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). AICTE, the national regulator for technical education under the Ministry of Education, provides the funding.
The scheme gives cash assistance to AICTE-approved institutions and universities so they can host induction and refresher programmes for faculty in technical institutions. The stated objective is to help those teachers upgrade their knowledge and skills and keep pace with developments in the field.
The grant goes to the institution rather than to an individual teacher. Faculty who attend the programmes are the intended beneficiaries.

Who can apply
Eligibility criteria
| AICTE approved institutions/University departments imparting technical education. | |
| Coordinator must be a full time regular faculty with adequate experience in teaching and research with publications. | |
| Maximum 2 proposals per institute would be considered in a year. | |
| Preferably one self-financing program should have been arranged in last 12 months by the college. | |
| ISTE will charge ₹1,500/- per proposal as processing fee. The proposals will be accepted only if institute pays the processing fee through RTGS/NEF |
