Overview

About GOC

The Grant for Organizing Conference (GOC) is a central scheme run by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the statutory body under the Department of Higher Education. Introduced in 2024, it gives colleges and technical institutions money to host academic conferences at the national and international level.

The support comes as a cash grant that meets a share of the conference cost, not the whole of it, so the host institution covers the rest. AICTE runs the scheme in two tracks: one for conferences on themes the council announces, and one for topics an institution proposes itself in emerging, core engineering, management or multi-disciplinary areas.

The purpose is to bring together academicians, researchers and industry experts from India and abroad to share and exchange research knowledge. It is open to AICTE-approved institutions, which include engineering colleges and BBA, BCA and BMS institutions. Proposals are submitted through AICTE's GOC portal well ahead of the conference date.
