Eligibility criteria
| The applicant must be a citizen of India. | |
| The applicant must be a resident of the Union territory of Puducherry, by virtue of birth or continuous residence of not less than five years. | |
| The applicant must be a student appearing in Secondary School Leaving Certificate/Secondary School Certificate/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Public Examinations in Government Schools. | |
| The applicant must have passed the qualifying examination in the first attempt. | |
| The applicant's marks from consecutive attempts must not be taken into account. |
What you get
Award & benefits
- For students securing top three ranks at the regional level in Secondary School Leaving Certificate/Secondary School Certificate/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Public Examinations in Government Schools: 1st Rank: ₹20,000/-; 2nd Rank: ₹15,000/-; 3rd Rank: ₹10,000/-.
- For students scoring centum in the subjects involving theory in Secondary School Leaving Certificate/Higher Secondary Course Examinations: ₹5,000/- per subject.
- Mode of Disbursement: The award will be given through Direct Benefit Transfer or by Demand Draft.- Frequency: The award is disbursed to the eligible beneficiaries every year.- Tie-Breaker Condition: In the event of more than one student getting equal marks, the concerned full prize amount will be distributed to each of them in full. This distribution includes the marks secured by way of revaluation at a later date as prescribed by the concerned Board.
