Overview

About AAMG(SI)SCS

The Award of Adhoc Merit Grant (Special Incentive) to Scheduled Caste Students is a state welfare scheme in the Union Territory of Puducherry. It is run by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, the arm of the Puducherry government that handles welfare and education support for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities.

The scheme is a cash merit grant for Scheduled Caste students who score 65% or more in their Class 10 board examination (matriculation or SSLC). It is meant to encourage strong school-leaving results and to support students who continue into post-matric study.

The grant is for Scheduled Caste students who are permanent residents of Puducherry. It does not set an income ceiling, so eligibility turns on category, residence and marks rather than family income. Applications are submitted online.
