About ABVSABJVS
Akhil Bhartiya Veda Sammelan and Akhil Bhartiya Jyotish Vastu Sammelan is a state scheme of the Department of Sanskrit Education in Uttarakhand. It supports two conferences, or sammelan: one centred on the Vedas, and one on Jyotish (astrology) and Vastu Shastra.
The scheme sets out to give scholars a platform to take part in these gatherings. It is meant for individuals engaged in the study, teaching, propagation and research of the Vedas, astrology and Vastu Shastra, and the benefit is provided in kind rather than as a cash payment.
Sanskrit education in the state runs through the Directorate of Sanskrit Education, which plans, manages, supervises and monitors Sanskrit schooling across Uttarakhand. The directorate oversees the state's Sanskrit schools and colleges and works alongside Uttarakhand Sanskrit University at Haridwar and the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy.
